Meeting Minutes
Joint Meeting
October 27, 1992
page three

Park and Recreation Committee member Drilling advised that the
Committee has looked at the land on Acorn Creek and questions its
feasibility.

It appeared to be the consensus of those present that they did
not wish to pursue eminent domain in the acquisition of the Moore
property for park land. It further appeared to be the consensus
of those present to pursue acquisition of park land adjacent to
Central Park.

Park and Recreation Committee member Navin left the meeting at
8:10 p.m.

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to authorize Council
member Wilharber to approach the Drewlo/LaMotte estate to inquire
as to their interest to sell the property adjacent to Central
Park to the City of Centerville, motion carried unanimously.

Council member Burgstahler noted that the next issue is the pond.
He noted that Council member Pelton and himself are serving on
the Acorn Creek subcommittee. He noted that both Pelton and
himself will no longer be in office as of January 1, 1993. He
suggested that he could step down from the subcommittee if a
continuing Council member would like to take his place. Mayor
Buckbee volunteer to replace Council member Burgstahler,
contingent upon his schedule allowing attendance.

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Dario to direct the Acorn Creek
subcommittee to meet to discuss the location of the pond, type of
pond, tree preservation and other related plat issues, motion
carried unanimously.

Council members advised that they would update the Park and
Recreation Committee and request their input.

All persons present appeared to agree that the meeting was very
instrumental in opening up communication between the Council,
Committee and Commission. It appeared to be the consensus that
meetings such as this should continue in the future.

Motion by Dario, second
motion carried unanimously.

by Wilharber to adjourn the meeting,
Meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Tamara M. Miltz-Miller
Clerk/Administrator
