Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council of the City of Centerville held emergency meeting on Monday, October 19, 1992 at the City Hall. The purpose of the meeting was to interview a candidate for the Clerk/Administrator position. Mayor Buckbee called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. Present: Burgstahler, Dario, Pelton, Wilharber. The meeting was originally scheduled and announced at the October 10, 1992 City Council meeting to be a special meeting to interview a fourth candidate to be considered for the Clerk/Administrator position. The candidate being Roger Winberg. In error, the notice for the meeting was not posted by City Staff. After consultation with the City Attorney it appeared to be the consensus of all parties that to re-schedule the special meeting would be a hardship to the City of Centerville due to the limited time frame on which to have the new Clerk/Administrator actively serving the City. Thus, considering the hardship in re- scheduling this meeting is deemed an emergency meeting by the Centerville City Council. The City Council interviewed Roger Winberg for the position of Clerk/Administrator. Motion by.Burgstahler, second Wilharber to offer the position of Clerk/Administrator to Ray Siebenaler for a salary of $36,000 and that the Mayor and the Employee Review Board are authorized to negotiate appropriate benefits, motion carried unanimously. Motion by Pelton, second by Wilharber that due to the difference in experience and qualifications should Ray Siebenaler not accept the position of Clerk/Administrator, the position shall be offered to Roger Winberg for a dollar amount of $28,500.00, the Mayor and the Employee Review Board are authorized to negotiate benefits, motion carried unanimously.
