<br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 14, 1992 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee asked if the Anoka County Sheriff's Department <br />could provide additional services to the cities within the County <br />with some flexibility. <br /> <br />Sheriff Wilkenson noted that <br />additional patrol etc., could be <br />agreements. Sheriff Wilkenson <br />Sheriff's Department does provide <br />seven cities within Anoka County. <br /> <br />additional services such as <br />facilitated with contractual <br />noted that the Anoka County <br />contractual patrol services to <br /> <br />Walter Neumann, Centerville's Circle Pines/Lexington Police <br />Department Liaison, updated the City Council on the upcoming CAT <br />program. He reminded citizens that appropriate complaint <br />procedures would be by contacting City Hall or Mr. Neumann and <br />that all complaints must be notarized. He advised that if a <br />complaint is taken over the phone the individual must eventually <br />sign a statement saying that the complaint has been recorded <br />correctly. He noted that the Circle Pines/Lexington Police <br />Department spent 520 hours in Centerville during the month of <br />September. He also noted that the Police Department now has an <br />abuse policy in effect. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Peltier Lake Drive Culvert Crossing <br />Council member Pelton suggested advising the appropriate agencies <br />that it would not be feasible for the City of Centerville to <br />reconstruct the Peltier Lake Drive culvert unless they were to <br />receive approval that would facilitate the up stream Flood Plain <br />Reduction Project. <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee suggested that it may be to the benefit of the City <br />to complete the Peltier Lake Drive Culvert Project and the Flood <br />Plain Reduction Project together as a package versus just <br />spending money on the Peltier Lake Drive culvert issue and not <br />completing the Flood Plain Project. <br /> <br />Council member Burgstahler noted that the Peltier Lake Drive <br />Culvert Project is driven by the Department of Natural Resources, <br />not the Rice Creek Watershed District. Although, the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District is holding up the flood plain reduction <br />project until the Department of Natural Resources is satisfied. <br />He noted that the City may have to revisit with the Anoka County <br />Highway Department to assure funding for the Main Street culvert <br />reconstruction. He suggested that it may be easier to do the two <br />projects separately. He noted that the Peltier Lake Drive <br />Culvert Project appeared to be easier administratively.
