I

CC Meeting Minutes
Page four
September 28, 1988

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to adopt Resolution #88-
61 declaring adequacy of the petition for municipal water to the
south 10 acres of the proposed Hardwood Pond Estates submitted by
Gerald Rehbein, developer, motion carried unanimously.

A copy of said petition is on file with the City Clerk.

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to amend paragraph three
of the improvement policy waiver required by Gerald Rehbein for
the proposed Hardwood Pond Estates development, approved at the
August 31, 1988 City Council meeting as follows:
-now reads: " and agree to have said improvements
installed per current City policy."
-amend to read: "at a date of two (2) years after the
execution of this statement of understanding as printed
and agree to have sid improvements installed as per
then current City policy.",
signing of this agreement is still a contingency as required at
the August 31, 1988 meeting, motion carried unanimously.

A copy of said waiver is on file with the City Clerk.

I

Gerald Rehbein, developer for the proposed Hardwood Pond Estates,
requested that the City extend MUSA to the north ten acres of the
development at this time. Mayor L'Allier, and Council members
Burgstahler and Neumann seemed to agree that the City would like
to see the revised City plan before making further amendments to
the Comprehensive Plan.

Steve Dixon, Park and Recreation Committee representative,
submitted a sketch plan from the Park and Recreation Committee,
which recommends that the park land to be dedicated by the
proposed Centerhill development be enlarged to four acres and
that these four acres be adjacent to the current park land
dedicated for the Centerville Heights development. Dixon noted
that this would require a curve to be implemented on the most
northern section of Brian Drive.

Andrew Mack, City Planner and John Stewart, City Engineer agreed
that this would alter the intersections so that the angles would
no longer be 90 degrees. It was their opinion that such an
intersection and curve on a minor arterial street may not be
safe, may defeat the purpose of the minor arterial, and would not
be recommended.

I

When asked questions about the proposed park in Centerhill,
Stewart responded that it may be possible to move the park to the
north. Knowing the land may be low, the City could accept the
dedication to the north with the condition that an acceptable
grading plan is prepared for that area. He advised that the
