CC Meeting Minutes Page six September 28, 1988 Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to require that Gerry Rehbein, the developer for the proposed Hardwood Pond Estates, escrow an appropriate dollar amount that would cover his portion of the construction of Fox Run when this section of the street is improvedj this will be a condition in the development agreement, motion carried unanimously. Mayor L'Allier called a five minute recess. Meeting resumed. Discussion of police liaison. Joe Pelton, 7178 Mill Road, gave his impression of what would be involved for a police liaison for Centerville. Burgstahler noted that it would be a key for the liaison to receive input from the City Council and interested citizens on the needs of police, and to then recommend to the City Council, but .the City Council would have the actual voice. It was discussed that a group of three should form the liaison. It appeared to be the consensus of the City Council that the Clerk will work with Pelton to set up this group. Motion by Fritchie, second by Neumann to appoint Joe Pelton, 7178 Mill Road as Police Service Liaison Chairperson through December 31, 1989, motion carried unanimously. Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to accept the liaison recommendations as presented by Joe Pelton, Police Service Liaison Chairperson, motion carried unanimously. A copy of said recommendations are attached to and made a part of these minutes. Discussion of the proposed park land for the proposed Hardwood Pond Estates development resumed. City Engineer, John Stewart advised that actual usable park land has not yet been determined, but that it would be his recommendation that any land below 902.6 elevation not be considered for park land dedication. He advised that the Rice Creek Watershed will be asking for an easement below the 100 year flood elevations. Gerry Rehbein suggested that he could donate land in another part of the City versus monies or park in the Hardwood Pond Estates development. Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to accept the revised grading plan dated September 19, 1988 for the proposed Hardwood Pond Estates development, motion carried unanimously.
