<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City council of the <br />City of Centerville held a public hearing September 14, 1988 at <br />the Centerville City Hall. The purpose of the hearing was to <br />hear all persons present regarding the proposed assessment roll <br />for the Short Street Sewer Extension Improvement #88-1. Mayor <br />LPAllier called the hearing to order at 6:50 p.m. Present: <br />Fritchie, Burgstahler, Neumann. Absent: Wilharber. <br /> <br />No persons in the audience spoke <br />members asked no questions and did <br />assessment roll. <br /> <br />on this matter. City Council <br />not express comments on the <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to adjourn the meeting, <br />motion carried unanimously. Hearing was adjourned at 6:52 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville held their regular meeting September 14, 1988 <br />at the Centerville City Hall. Mayor LPAllier called the meeting <br />to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Fritchie, Burgstahler, Neumann. <br />Absent: Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the August 23, 1988 joint meeting of the City Council and the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to accept the minutes of <br />the August 24, 1988 regular meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the August 31, 1988 special meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPEARANCES <br />Sheriff Wilkinson, Anoka County SheriffPs Department, appeared <br />before the Council to speak on services provided to the cities in <br />Anoka County. <br /> <br />Council and audience <br />Wilkinson. Some of his <br />-County services <br />department. <br />-County is the primary police protection source for 7 cities <br />(1/3 of Anoka County. <br />-It has been proposed that aid be available in cases of <br />incarceration, so that a County officer could come to <br />individual cities to pick up violators to deliver them <br />to the Anoka County jail facilities, versus using <br />individual city officers to deliver the violator. <br />-The County usually assists cities as needed. Mutual aid is <br />usually between two cities that don't have jurisdiction <br />in the each others cities. <br />-The County would respond to the City in emergency <br />situations, but is not geared up to be a first <br />responder.
