CC Meeting Minutes
page three
September 14, 1988

-The difference between the Anoka County proposal and the
Lino Lakes proposal is that Lino Lakes drives through
Centerville in order to patrol Lino Lakes, thus can
also provide service to Centerville at no additional
cost. Anoka County would have to place a person and a
vehicle in the City.
-Over a period of time there may not be a savings to an
individual City to have its own department versus
contracting with Anoka County.
-With an Anoka County contract a law enforcement committee
would be set up in the City to encourage
communications.
-Park rangers patrol the County Park.
-Wilkinson offered to help the City no matter what decision
was made with regard to police protection.

Audience members who asked questions:
-Lora Elken, 1701 Peltier Lake Drive,
-Joe Pelton, 7178 Mill Road,
-Donna Erickson, 1548 Peltier Lake Drive,
-Wayne Hanson, 7200 Mill Road,
-Jeff Will, 1933 Center Street,
-Terry Elken, 1701 Peltier Lake Drive,
-Tim Doyle, 1715 Peltier Lake Drive,
-Udo Wegman, 1742 Main Street,
-Joe Steele, 6926 Sumac Court,
-Kathy Welk, 7219 Mill Road,
-Mary Jane Lang, 1559 Peltier Lake Drive,
-Carol Pelton, 7178 Mill Road.

PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS
Mayor L'Allier revised the agenda to hear a petition that a
Centerville Police Department not be initiated.

Lora Elken, 1701 Peltier Lake Drive presented the petition.
