<br />CC Meeting Minutes <br />page two <br />August 24, 1988 <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to accept the minutes of <br />the August 17, 1988 budget meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Discussion of National Ataxia Foundation request for renewal of <br />charitable gambling license for pull tabs at Gregg's Centerville <br />Lounge. Gene Houle, 7124 Centerville Road asked questions <br />regarding the request. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann to approve the renewal of <br />the National Ataxia Foundation charitable gambling license for <br />pull tabs at Gregg's Centerville Lounge for a one year period, <br />continuing with a 5% contribution of net profit to be donated to <br />the Centerville Lions Club, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion of proposed Villa's fourplex. Scott Mower, Developer, <br />was present to address concerns of the Council. Mower advised <br />that the units would begin as rental units and eventually be sold <br />as townhouse or condominium units. <br /> <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, advised that after review of the <br />sight plan and the recommendations of the City Planner, he would <br />recommend: <br />-curbing for a defined parking area (if not, residents may <br />drive on the grass and park, could become an unsafe and <br />unsightly situation), he advised that bituminous <br />curbing would do the job; <br />-driveway width be increased to 16 feet; <br />-separate sewer hook-ups for each unit (if intended for <br />condominium for townhome units), <br />-the decision of the Council concerning these items could <br />set a precedent, as this is the first multi-family' <br />dwelling unit that has approached the City in several <br />years. <br /> <br />Bill LaLonde, 1687 Westview Street asked questions regarding the <br />proposal. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to direct the City <br />Clerk to request City Attorney to draw up a Special Use Permit <br />between Scott Mower and the City of Centerville for the site plan <br />presented to the City Council at the August 24, 1988 City Council <br />meeting for the Villa's fourplex with the following items: <br />-The Special Use permit shall be written referencing <br />townhouse or condominium units; <br />-Developer clearly providing 2 "fee free" off street parking <br />spaces per unit on the site plan; <br />-Parking and driveway area be surfaced with an impervious <br />surface such as bituminous or concrete to control dust <br />and surface drainage; <br />
