If not contested, legal fees are minimal. <br /> <br />A fiscal impact analysis for the property along 35E <br />would probably not be needed as the property is <br />undeveloped. <br /> <br />Need estimated~cost for feasibility studies by engineers <br />at some point before going to far. <br /> <br />City Planner And.rew Mack stated the City Comprehensive Plan is <br />in the process of being updated. It presently doesn't address <br />the development of the area by Interstate 35E and would be needed <br />in the case of annexation. He also stated the possibility of <br />that area being within the MUSA boundaries would be a plus.. <br /> <br />Attorney Blomquist felt Centerville should have its facts in <br />place before pursuing annexation in order to begin in a <br />favorable position - not be on the defensive. Also the relation- <br />ship with Lino Lakes needs to be considered. <br /> <br />A general poll was taken of the Council members: <br /> <br />All felt the area at the south end of LaMotte Drive <br />would not be worth pursuing at this time. The end <br />gains would not offset the costs to annex. <br /> <br />All felt the two porperties at the end of Mound Trail <br />should be pursued probably informally by approaching <br />the City of Lino Lakes with the property owners petition <br />and obtaining a mutual resolution. <br /> <br />All also felt the property along Interstate 35E should <br />be considered. They were in favor of proceeding informally <br />to determine attitudes of property owners and to determine <br />costs involved. <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />Motion by Lindquist, second by Drilling to have city staff <br />informally.poll the property owners along Interstate 35E by <br />letter to determine their feelings about being annexed into <br />the City of Centerville, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by(Lindquist, second by Neumann to adjourn meeting, <br />motion carried unanimously.
