<br />Meeting Minutes <br />Page three <br />August 10, 1988 <br /> <br />questions and concerns of the Council. Commission member <br />Fritchie presented "Factors Influencing Location for the Station <br />311. A copy of these factors is on file with the City Clerk. <br />Lino Lakes Council members Harold Bisel and Andy Neal were <br />present and commented on the proposed station. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Burgstahler to direct City Clerk to <br />set up a meeting between the Centerville and the Lino Lakes City <br />Councils to discuss proposed replacement of Station #3, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Wilharber to appoint Des Englund as <br />Centennial Fire District Commissioner to replace Larry Koch; this <br />term will expire December 31, 1989, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk send a letter of confirmation to the Centennial Fire <br />District and will begin advertisement for an Alternate Centennial <br />Fire District Oommissioner. <br /> <br />Meeting recessed at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Meeting resumed at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the July 26, 1988 special meeting at which 1989 police proposals <br />were discussed, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Lengthy discussion of police proposals took place, which included <br />comments from Lino Lakes Council members Bisel and Neal. <br /> <br />Some Centerville Council comments were: <br />-no decision making input with Lino Lakes, <br />-conflict of interest as per #11 of the contract, <br />-receipt of the budget on December 31 of each year was not <br />fair, <br />-some residents are not pleased with the service, <br />-liaison or commission should be implemented, <br />-is Centerville getting the coverage for the dollar <br />expended, <br />-8 hour coverage by Centerville Police would not be <br />satis,factory, <br />-space is a problem, <br />-start Centerville Police Department in 1990. <br /> <br />Gene Houle, 7124 Centerville Road spoke in favor of a Centerville <br />Police Department. <br /> <br />Lorraine Cartier, 7048 Progress Road spoke of dissatisfaction <br />with the Lino Lakes Police Department. <br />
