<br />CC Meeting Minutes <br />Page Four <br />July 13, 1988 <br /> <br />the current homeowners involved in the Short Street Sewer <br />Extension Improvement #88-1, as allowed by City Ordinance #30, <br />and after verification by City Attorney, the City of Centerville <br />does allow the 1988 $1,600 Unit Hook Up Charge for residents at <br />6904 Centerville Road and 6906 Centerville Road to be assessed to <br />their properties versus requiring full payment prior to hook up <br />to municipal sewer; contingent upon verification from City <br />Accountant as to what will be the proper accounting procedure; <br />such requests will only be considered by current residents, in <br />situations where the need to hook up to municipal sewer is <br />unexpected, where a financial hardship is apparent, and only upon <br />written request of the resident to be assessed, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Written requests of residents at 6904 and 6906 Centerville Road <br />to have the Unit Hook Up charged assessed to their property is on <br />file with the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Wilharber to approve the following <br />partial pay estimates in connection with Municipal Water <br />Improvement #87-2, contingent upon receipt of signatures of the <br />contractors: <br />-partial pay estimate for Maguire Iron, Inc. for work <br />completed from June 2, 1988 to July 1, 1988 on the <br />water storage tank and related items; the total amount <br />of the approved partial payment is $30,280; <br />-partial pay estimate for Ro-So Contracting, Inc. for work <br />completed from June 12, 1988 to June 24, 1988 on the <br />interconnecting piping and control building; the total <br />amount of the approved partial payment is $3,576; <br />-partial pay estimate for Ro-So Contracting, Inc. for work <br />completed on June 12, 1988 to June 24, 1988 on the <br />control building mechanical and electrical; the <br />amount earned is $9,940, of which $350 will be retained <br />until the work is complete; the total amount of the <br />approved partial payment is $9,590, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Brian Miller, City Engineer advised that the interior of the <br />tower is complete. The first coat of primer is on the outside <br />and the final blue coat will begin next week. <br /> <br />Discussion of proposed Assessment Manual. The following sections <br />of the proposed manual were discussed with regard to <br />recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission: <br />-page 4, number 5. Front Foota~e, a. Sin2le Fronta~e Lots:. <br />Engineer Miller advised that in the past assessments of <br />cuI de sac lots were calculated using a area formula <br />which could put the cuI de sac in the same perspective <br />as a rectangular lot. <br />
