<br />Meeting Minutes <br />Page Five <br />May 25, 1988 <br /> <br />Ordinance #43-A regulating and restricting charitable gambling <br />within the City of Centerville until said time when a local <br />organization would come forward which would benefit from such an <br />ordinance, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Brian Miller, City Engineer, presented written estimates <br />regarding the cost of 60il borings on LaMotte Drive to assist in <br />determining the appropriate permanent weight restrictions on that <br />street. Copy of said estimate is on file with the City Clerk. <br />Miller advised that the cost could range from $625 to $1000. <br />Miller noted that Kenco Construction had not been contacted <br />regarding this information. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second <br />Companies shall be directed <br />Drive for a cost of $625 <br />Construction's agreeing to <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />by Wilharber that Soil Exploration <br />to do the soil borings on LaMotte <br />to $975, contingent upon Kenco <br />pay one-half of the cost incurred, <br /> <br />Myra Spijer, Centerville Task Force member who served on the <br />Pupil's Transportation Policy Review Committee for the Centennial <br />School District reported and presented information on the <br />findings of said committee. Written information regarding this <br />committee and bussing of students on hazardous roadways is on <br />file with the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Ms. Spijer advised of the action taken by the Centennial School <br />Board on the recommendations of the Pupil's Transportation Policy <br />Review Committee. A copy of that information is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to direct the City Clerk <br />to work with Myra Spijer to look at possible options with regard <br />to hazardous roadways within the City of Centerville and to <br />investigate the financial feasibility of these options; this item <br />will be tabled, to be reviewed in the near future, no later than <br />the end of July, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler that per the <br />recommendation of the City Engineer, partial pay estimates to LTP <br />Enterprises for work completed on the deep well for Municipal <br />Water Improvement #87-2 in the amount of $29,379.75, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Wilharber to direct the Public Works <br />Director to work with Council member Neumann to investigate <br />installing a horizontal bar approximately mid-height of the <br />opening invoking the bar to the curb surface on the storm sewer <br />inlet in Royal Meadows, motion carried unanimously. <br />
