<br />CC Meeting Minutes <br />page two <br />December 14, 1988 <br /> <br />budget, and Station #3. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Wilharber to approve the 1989 Fire <br />Budget of $294,297 (Centerville's portion being 8%, or $23,544), <br />contingent upon the three cities continuing to be in agreement; <br />and approval of the Capitol expenditure of $153,500 <br />(Centerville's portion being 8%, or $12,280 to be spread over 5 <br />years - $2,456 per year), contingent upon the terms of the bond <br />sale that the Centennial Fire District would put together; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann, to pass Resolution #88-73 <br />that the City of Centerville will work with the City of Circle <br />Pines to form the Centennial District II, should Lino Lakes <br />choose to not continue with the current Centennial Fire District; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Wilharber, to approve the City <br />Installed Improvement policy, as put together and agreed upon by <br />Bill Hawkins, City Attorney, and Maier, Stewart and Associates, <br />City Engineers; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Wilharber, to approve Amendment #1, <br />dated December 14, 1988 of the engineering contract between the <br />City of Centerville and Maier, Stewart and Associates; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann, to approve the City <br />Assessment Manual, as prepared by Maier, Stewart and Associates <br />and Bill Hawkins, City Attorney, dated December 5, 1988; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion of flood plain areas in Centerville and the Clearwater <br />Creek culvert crossing. Brian Miller, City Engineer, supplied <br />written information on the subject. This information is on file <br />with the City Clerk. <br /> <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, emphasized that pains must be taken <br />to insure that if the City were to go ahead with this project, <br />they would have to be careful that the water problem did not move <br />to the north of Main Street. <br /> <br />Council members noted that the present proposed budget does not <br />allow for financial assistance for the above proposed flood plain <br />project, and that if benefiting property owners would like the <br />project to continue, they should come forward and petition for <br />the improvement. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie, to table discussion of <br />elimination of flood plain areas south of Main Street for the~ <br />
