<br />CC Meeting Minutes <br />Page four <br />November 9, 1988 <br /> <br />changes in the current sketch plan from that of the previous <br />sketch plan, there would be a change in the total cost of the <br />project, changes would have to be made in the feasibility study <br />with regard to discussions of the flood plain and the floodway. <br />He advised that overall there would not be a great deal of <br />changes to the previous feasibility study to facilitate this <br />sketch plan, but that the changes should be recognized. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to table consideration <br />of the current sketch plan, as it involves a rezoning of the <br />property, and it should be understood that no rezoning will take <br />place until such time the redraft of the Centerville <br />Comprehensive Plan is reviewed by the City Council, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, advised that the pump on the water <br />tower has been down about a week due to a defective piece of <br />equipment. The pump should be running again by the end of this <br />week. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler to bid $100 to the <br />Centennial Fire District for the Centerville 1950 Studebaker fire <br />truck; with the bid the Clerk will include a letter to the <br />District emphasizing the sentimental value of the truck to the <br />City of Centerville, as it was the first fire truck in <br />Centerville, aye: L'Allier, Wilharber, Burgstahler, Neumann; <br />nay: Fritchie. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> <br />Clerk noted that residents of Royal Meadows were scheduled to <br />attend this City Council meeting to advise that they were <br />dissatisfied with the answers they received from the Park and <br />Recreation Committee at their November 3, 1988 meeting. No <br />residents of Royal Meadows were in attendance. Carol Pelton, <br />Chairperson of the Park and Recreation Committee presented a <br />written report to the City Council regarding their November 3, <br />1988 meeting with the concerned residents in Royal Meadows. A <br />copy of this report is made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Pelton also noted that the trail in the Hardwood Ponds Park will <br />be moved about half way down the slope, away from the Royal <br />Meadows property lines. <br /> <br />Discussion of the depth of the pond in the Hardwood Ponds Park. <br />Gerry Rehbein, developer, advised that there will be about six <br />inches less water in the pond when the development is complete. <br />The reason is that currently there is a constriction in the creek <br />where the water flows to, and ~hat per the Rice Creek Watershed, <br />he must remove the constriction which will decrease the water <br />
