Rehbein advised that at this point in the project, it is <br />not feasible to increase the depth of the pond. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler to approve a 3.3' X <br />150' lot split as applied for by Robert and Rosemary Barett at <br />6953 Centerville Road; contingent upon all costs incurred to the <br />City being reimbursed prior to stamping by the City Clerk, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A copy of the application for the above lot split i6 on file with <br />the City Clerk. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Discussion of the possible Park and Recreation Committee deficit. <br />Carol Pelton, Chairperson of the Park and Recreation Committee <br />advised: <br />-Park and Recreation would like to request a waiver for a <br />sewer billing for the Central Park building. <br />-Long term maintenance monies will be applied to finishing <br />the Central Park building. <br />-Park and Recreation requests that all park dedication fees <br />be allowed to go to the Park Fund versus further <br />eliminating the current park deficit to help pay for <br />the Central Park building. <br />-Promised donations are not forth coming. <br />-$12,000 is coming from the State, but it will take 2-3 <br />weeks to get the monies. The monies will come in 2 <br />parts, but will all be here before December 31, <br />1988. <br />-The Park and Recreation Committee members will forfeit <br />their stipends for the 1989 year to be applied toward <br />park expenditures. <br />Pelton presented a detailed cost breakdown of the Central Park <br />Project. She noted that through item #66, is volunteer work that <br />the City will receive matching funds for. <br /> <br />Gerry LeTendre, Park and Recreation member, advised that he is <br />going to the next Lions Club meeting to see what contribution the <br />Lions Club will make to the project. He estimates that it will <br />be $2,500. LeTendre also noted that some of the costs of the <br />project can be deferred until 1989. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation members requested the following of the City <br />Council: <br />-That all 1988 park dedication fees be transferred to the <br />Park Fund, versus using half of each fee to decrease <br />the current park deficit. <br />-That the City float $12,000 of General City Fund monies to <br />
