Centerville of City <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 28, 2009 <br />Remove the dashes from all instances of Councilmember Broussard Vickers' name. <br />On Page 3 of 10, under Awards/Presentations/Appearances, Item 1, the last paragraph should read: <br />Councilmember Lee added that the Parks and Recreation Hayride would be held after the Ice Fishing <br />Contest, at 6 p.m. that evening. <br />On Page 9 of 10, under Announcements/LJpdates, Item 2, the last sentence in the first paragraph should <br />read: Mayor Capra provided a copy of the letter from the Circle Pines Mayor to the Councilmembers. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to approve the <br />January 14, 2009, City Council Meeting Minutes as amended. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. City of Centerville January 15, 2009, through January 28, 2009, Claims (Check # 024077 - <br />024102 and Check # 024104 - 024118) <br />2. Centennial Fire District Claims through January 22, 2009 <br />Mayor Capra requested that Item 3 be pulled for discussion. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Lee, to approve <br />Items 1 and 2 of the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Acceptance of Finance Director John Met'er's Retirement Letter <br />Mayor Capra read John Met'er's Retirement Letter to the Councilmembers. She stated that he would <br />definitely be missed and was an outstanding employee for the City. She stated that, if possible, she <br />would like to bring him back for a reception in his honor. <br />Councilmember Lee commented that apot-luck affair of some sort would be appropriate. <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers, to <br />approve Item 3 of the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />VL AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br />Sgt. Pat Aldridge <br />Sgt. Aldridge appeared to give updates from the Police Department. Some of the updates were: <br />All Alcohol Compliance Checks for Centerville passed. <br />CSO Zech will be the CSO Liaison for Centerville. <br />Interviews and the background stages have been completed for the full-time Police Officer position, and <br />the start date is being discussed. <br />Interviews are being completed for the potential reserves. <br />The Police Department is currently working on the Reserve Transport Policy, which will free up time <br />for the officers on the street. <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
