He stated that the City paid a premium to have the work in the park
completed by August 2007; however, it still hasn't been completed. In addition, regarding
the additional fees requested for CSAH 14 last summer when, because of the storms, the
City Staff was not available, the City would have liked to have been more informed.
Councilmember Lee stated that City Engineer Statz has earned fairly high ratings on the
Review Sheet.
Mr. Tranter replied that, regarding the park, they are still working to get it done. If the
plants are not functioning when they come up, they will replace them. He agreed that they
did not perform as well as they could have. However, he hopes the Council will agree that,
after that, they stepped up and did what was best for the City.
Mr. Tranter replied that having to request the additional amount was also their fault. They
failed to be as communicative as they should have been. He stated that they will endeavor
to be more proactive in the future to let the City know what is going on.
Mayor Capra stated that the citizens gave Bonestroo high marks and felt they were very
polite and professional.
