COWlcil Member Capra indicated that COWlcil had done the most extensive budget review in recent years and had asked a lot of the Staff and she feels COWlcil consciously looked over these budget numbers. COWlcil Member Nelson indicated she had concerns with the budget but was prepared to vote on the levy. Mayor Swedberg appealed to COWlcil that there may be residents sitting aroWld the kitchen table who are making decisions based on someone losing a job or wondering if there will be a job tomorrow and that is a much greater stress than the finances of the City. Lion's Club Proposal for Fete des Lacs COWlcil Member Capra commented that the letter from the Lion's Club had said that the City needs to keep the festival in order to maintain Star City status and then indicated that is not accurate. She also clarified that the City does not have $25,000 budgeted for the festival it has $15,000. She then indicated she would like to table this request Wltil COWlcil is able to meet with the committees after the first ofthe year. Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Nelson to table consideration of the Lion's Club proposal for Fete des Lacs. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. 9. Donation from Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the City had received a donation to its Park and Recreation Committee from the Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. She also indicated that she had sent a letter to the Chamber of Commerce thanking them for the generous donation COWlcil Member Capra asked if the Park and Recreation Committee had requested the donation.
