<br />City Engineer Peterson indicated that Anoka County has applied for funds to expand <br />CSAH 14 and expects to hold meetings concerning the issue in the near future. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that she is waiting for a call from the Administrator from <br />Hugo. <br /> <br />2. Deferred Compensation Update <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the consultant is working on the matter and indicated that <br />there were two more documents that needed to be put together and submitted to him. <br /> <br />3. Acorn Creek Park Grant <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked whether Staff had contacted the DNR about giving the City <br />an extension to complete the work. <br /> <br />Ms. Bender indicated that she and Ms. Moore-Sykes would be working on the matter <br />before the end of the week. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the budget work had really swamped Staff and said Staff <br />would begin working on the matter soon. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked that the matter be taken care of before the end of the year. <br /> <br />4. Communications Update <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg indicated he had enjoyed the report from the Communications <br />Committee and indicated he thought that the City would find that most of the <br />recommendations could be gotten for free. He then indicated that he would like to <br />proceed with the Web for Cities and noted that, if the City does not have it, the City <br />would need to obtain Adobe Acrobat software. <br /> <br />Motion bv Mayor Swedberl!, seconded bv Council Member Capra to approve the <br />purchase of Web for Cities Software, II dil!ital camera, and Adobe Acrobat 5 <br />Software, if needed. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra suggested a friendly amendment to limit the purchase to the <br />reconnnended price of$1,180.00. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg accepted the friendly amendment to his motion. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis indicated he would prefer to use fees out of a different area other <br />than the general fund and suggested there may be Cable Commission fees that could be <br />used. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that there may be franchise fees to be 'used. <br /> <br />Page 4 ofl7 <br />
