<br />. SICK LEAVE: The employee shall be entitled to receive one, (1) day sick leave each month and <br />shall be entitled to accumulate and use sick leave as provided for within the Department Rules and <br />Regulations Manual. <br /> <br />. GENERAL LEAVE: The employee shall be entitled to all leaves currently provided by the <br />employer to other police department employees, e.g., funeral leave, etc. <br /> <br />. TRAINING: The position of this employee warrants a high level of training in order to perform <br />the functions and duties necessary for the responsibility of these positions. Therefore, the employer <br />shall pay for and encourage the employee to attend training sessions to better administer, manage <br />and operate the Police Department and emergency management functions. <br /> <br />The employer shall allow the employee to attend, at a minimum, the Minnesota Chiefs of Police <br />Executive Training Institute on an annual basis. In addition, up to $1,500 may be used by the <br />employee to pursue other training. Any amount over this must have the approval ofthe employer. <br /> <br />. USE OF DEPARTMENT VEIDCLE: The employee is on duty twenty-four, (24) hours a day. <br />The employee shall, when need arises, have the use of a department vehicle which shall be utilized <br />for Department-related business, when necessary and available. <br /> <br />. BENEFICIARY: In the event of the death of the employee during such time as the employee is <br />still employed by the employer, all salary earned and not yet paid to the employee, as well as all <br />other accumulated sick leave, holidays, vacation and other leaves and benefits earned by the <br />employee but not yet paid to the employee, shall be paid to the employee's beneficiaries as listed in <br />the employee's Public Employee Retirement Association (PERA) beneficiary statement. <br /> <br />. Sl;VERANCE PAY: Upon separation, employee shall be entitled to the following severance <br />pay: <br /> <br />a. Payment for all time worked and not yet compensated. <br />b. Holidays accumulated and not yet taken. <br />c. Vacation time accumulated and not yet taken. <br />d. Fifty (SO) percent of accumulated sick leave, up to the maximum cap of960 sick leave <br />hours. <br /> <br />Chief of Police Date <br /> <br />Chair, Centennial Lakes PoliceCommission Date <br /> <br />. <br />
