<br />,. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson said the problem was the attorney was windy and was getting no <br />where fast. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers said that was in 1998 or 1999. . <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that before 2000 he remembers speaking with Mr. March <br />about the issue and he had told Mr. March the matter would be expensive to do no matter <br />who did it and the matter was dropped. He then indicated that Mr. Johnson had worked <br />on the Comprehensive Plan and the zoning ordinance to create a definition of special use <br />and permitted use not on codification. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers said that in 1999 or thereabout Planning and Zoning <br />made it through half of the ordinances in terms of rewriting them. She then suggested <br />reviewing the notebook concerning proposed changes before spending time or money on <br />codification. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson commented that now that the positions of clerk and treasurer are <br />being split the clerk could focus on the ordinances. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra reported that the Cable Commission Meeting would be next <br />week. She then asked if the liquor license hearing would be held next week. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg suggested working off of the League of Minnesota Cities model <br />ordinance when the meeting is held. <br /> <br />Council directed Staff to give the owners notice that the City would be working otr of the <br />League of Minnesota Cities model ordinance and then set a meeting three weeks after <br />noticing them. The meeting was set for Monday, April 8, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg reported that the Police Commission would be meeting tomorrow night <br />and noted that at the last mceting they voted to raise salaries. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked how that could be done. Mayor Swedberg indicated he <br />was the only one to vote against it. He then commented they intend to use the reserve <br />fund at this time to fund the increases. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra suggested using the League of Minnesota Cities important datcs <br />calendar to avoid issues with cancelled meetings. <br /> <br />XI.
