City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 23, 2004 <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Capra to increase Council pay to $225.00 and the Mayor’s pay to $285.00. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated he would consider Council pay at $300.00 and the Mayor <br />at $350.00 or $400.00. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she was thinking $250.00 for Council and $300.00 for <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers withdrew her motion. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra withdrew her second. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated he was thinking $300.00 for Council and $400.00 for Mayor <br />since it has not been adjusted for four years. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lee to approve the <br />amendment to Ordinance #52 for Council pay at $275.00 and the Mayor’s pay at <br />$350.00. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers pointed out that the Council budget would go up to <br />nearly $17,000 with the proposed increase. <br /> <br />VOTE: All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />11. Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation – Park Dedication Fees for <br />Commercial/Industrial Development (Resolution #04-031 <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she would like to use $1,800.00 as the fee now and then <br />consider raising it at the first of the year. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated that a fee of $2,175.00 would bring the City in line with the <br />fees charged by Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Capra to approve <br />Resolution #04-031 to approve the addition of park dedication fees for commercial <br />and industrial development in the amount of $2,175.00 per acre. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that she would like the fee to be $1,800.00 as she is <br />concerned that high fees could deter commercial development. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated that there is no commercial development pending and this <br />is the Staff recommendation. <br /> <br />Page 5 of 9 <br /> <br />
