<br />3. Traffic rerouting is the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. <br /> <br />4. All flag persons, barricades, flashers, and safety measures are the sole <br />responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. <br /> <br />5. Provide sufficient direction and warning signs on the project to minimize <br />inconvenience to property OWNERs and the traveling public. <br /> <br />6. Provide reasonable access at all times for abutting property owners and for <br />emergency vehicles. Utilize flares or approved flashers from sunset to <br />sunrise if required by the construction <br /> <br />3. I I FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br /> <br />A. Submit for review by the ENGINEER at the Pre-Construction conference, a report <br />from an independent testing laboratory indicating the gradation, median aggregate <br />size, flakiness index, bulk specific gravity, and loose unit weight of the aggregate <br />being supplied for the project. This information shall be used to determine the <br />design application rates for the aggregate and bituminous material. <br /> <br />B. Submit for review by the ENGINEER at the Pre-Construction conference, <br />information regarding the anticipated residual asphalt content of the proposed <br />binder material. <br /> <br />C. Notify the ENGINEER of pit location, bituminous supply, scale location, and any <br />other correlated items in advance of starting time so that adequate control <br />measures can be established. <br /> <br />D. Inspections shall be performed in accordance to the MnDOT Minnesota Seal Coat <br />Handbook <br /> <br />3.12 METHOD OF MEASUREMENT / PAYMENT <br /> <br />A. Bituminous Material: <br /> <br />I. Measurement shall be based on the bituminous material applied by volume <br />in gallons at 60 degrees F. <br /> <br />2. Payment shall be made based on the bid item provided on the Bid Form <br />and shall include the following: <br /> <br />a. Delivery of material. <br /> <br />b.
