An unused floating <br />holiday shall be forfeited and may not be carried over <br />to the next payroll year nor paid as severance. <br />Floating holiday shall be taken in not less than eight <br />hour increments. <br /> <br />On-going part-time or seasonal Public Works, Community <br />Center, Ice Arena and Aquatic Park employees who are <br />required to work on any of the 10 (ten) listed holidays <br />shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half times the <br />employee's base pay. <br /> <br />c. Vacation Leave. <br /> <br />1. Amount. All regular employees who regularly work <br />30 or more hours per week shall accrue vacation <br />leave on a bi-weekly basis. For full-time <br />employees it shall accrue in accordance with the <br />following schedule: <br /> <br />0-5 years employment <br />6-15 years employment <br />16-20 years employment <br />21+ years employment <br /> <br />80 hours annually <br />120 hours annually <br />160 hours annually <br />160 hours plus 8 hours <br />for each year worked over <br />20, to a maximum of 200 <br />hours <br /> <br />For part-time regular employees it shall be <br />computed on the basis of (hours compensated for <br />work per week) divided by (40 hours per week) <br />times the number of hours specified above. <br /> <br />2. Measurement. Each twel ve months of employment <br />with the City of Shakopee shall count as one year <br />of employment for the purpose of vacation leave. <br />The City Council shall have the option of giving <br />new employees credit for each twel ve months of <br />related employment with another employer, which <br />may be counted as up to one-half year of <br />employment for the purpose of vacation leave. <br /> <br />3. Accumulation. Employees who have 0-15 years of <br />employment may accumulate no more than 240 hours <br />of vacation leave. Employees who have 16 or more <br />years of employment may accumulate no more than <br />360 hours of vacation leave. In extraordinary <br />circumstances the City Administrator may approve <br />the temporary accumulation of hours above the <br />applicable cap. <br /> <br />V-2 <br />
