<br />13.3 Applicability <br />Travel and expense reimbursement provided for in this section shall apply <br />to both the employees of the City and the members of the City Council <br />traveling specifically to conduct City business. <br /> <br />14 EMPLOYEE RECORDS AND PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL <br /> <br />14.1 Employee Records <br />Records containing information pertinent to employment will be <br />maintained for all employees and will be available at any time for their. own <br />review in accordance with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act. <br /> <br />Information is used to administer employee salary and benefit programs, <br />process payroll, complete state and federal reports, record performance, <br />etc. <br /> <br />No piece of information is retained unless required for a specific purpose. <br />Employees who have the right to know exactly what date is retained, <br />where itis kept, and how itisused. <- (What does this mean?) All <br />employees' data will be received, retained and disseminated according to <br />the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act. <br /> <br />14.2 Employee Performance Appraisal <br />Employees will normally have their performance evaluated at least once <br />during the training period and annually thereafter. Performance <br />evaluations will be maintained in employee personnel files and will be <br />considered when personnel actions are contemplated. Performance <br />appraisals will be conducted in accordance with the established <br />performance appraisal system. <br /> <br />15 SAFETY <br /> <br />15.1 General <br />The personal health and safety of each employee of the City and the <br />prevention of occupational injuries and illnesses are of primary importance <br />to the City. To the greatest degree possible, management will maintain an <br />environment free from unnecessary hazards and will establish safety <br />policies and procedures for each department. Adherence to these policies <br />is the responsibility of each employee. Overall administration of this policy <br />is the responsibility of each department head. <br /> <br />15.2 Safety!
