<br />E. Use of City Vehicles: City-owned vehicles are to be used only for City business. <br />There are no exceptions. Only City employees may drive City velllcles and those who are <br />not City employees are allowed as passengers only when necessary for conducting City <br />business. Exceptions must be approved by the Department Head and City Administrator <br />and must be consistent with City needs. <br /> <br />F. Department Heads are responsible for any vehicles leaving City limits from their <br />respective departments. Authorization is required from the City Administrator prior to <br />leaving the City limits if at all possible. A daily log of miles driven per day will be will <br />be kept for all City vehicles, noting when a vehicle has left City limits and for what <br />purpose. <br /> <br />G. Falsification of Records: No person shall knowingly make false statements, <br />certificates, marks, ratings, or reports in regard to any test, certificate, or appointment <br />held or made under the City personnel system, or in any manner commit or attempt to <br />commit any fraud preventing the impartial execution of the personnel policies. Such acts <br />will be cause for immediate disciplinary action and possibly grounds for criminal <br />prosecution. <br /> <br />H. Rendering of Consideration: No person shall, directly or indirectly, give or make <br />available any valuable consideration to any person on account of or in connection with <br />any test, appointment, or promotion. Such acts will be cause for immediate disciplinary <br />action, possible criminal prosecution, and/or elimination of a candidate from <br />consideration for appointment. <br /> <br />Article 15 <br /> <br />Safety <br /> <br />A. The personal health and safety of each employee of the City and the prevention of <br />occupational injuries and illnesses are of primary importance to the City. To the greatest <br />degree possible, management will maintain an environment free from unnecessary <br />hazards and will establish safety policies and procedures for each department. Adherence <br />to these policies is the responsibility of each employee. Overall administration of this <br />policy is the responsibility of each department head. <br /> <br />B. Safety/Accident Reporting: Workers' Compensation benefits and OSHA (job <br />safety laws) require that all on the job accidents and sickness be reported as soon as <br />possible by the employee, or on behalf ofthe iqjured or sick employee, to his or her <br />department head. <br /> <br />C. Where safety equipment is required by federal, state, or local rules and regulations, it <br />shall be a condition of employment that such equipment be worn by the employee. <br />
