Approval of the August 8, 2002 Commission Meeting Minutes <br />B. Monthly Financial Report for August 2002 <br />C. Ratification of the August 2002 Claims and Expenses <br /> <br />Commissioner Heifort pulled item A from the consent agenda and asked to make <br />corrections at the next Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Motion: <br />Commissioner Grahek made a motion to approve Items B&C, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wright. The motion was unanimouslv approved. <br /> <br />7. Action Items <br />A. 2003 Draft Budget: The cities of Lexington and Centerville indicated that their <br />Council's had approved the 2003 CLPD proposed budget. Circle Pines had already <br />approved the budget. <br /> <br />B. Minnesota State Department of Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Grant for <br />compliance checks: Chief Heckman noted that in the packet was information on <br />the penalties each city follows for alcohol license offenses. <br />Motion: <br />Commissioner Mahr made a motion to ask for alcohol compliance check grant money <br />from the State Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement agency, seconded by Commissioner <br />Lund. The motion was carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />C. Research for Commission Request of Transports to County Jail: The Chief <br />stated that the data was not readily available. <br />Action Taken: The consensus of the Commission was the Department would <br />keep track over the next few months to better determine what the. needs are for <br />holdina cells and transport to the County iail in Anoka. <br /> <br />D. Approval of the Minnesota Data Practices Act - Rules and Regulations <br />Chapter 86: The data practices act is critical to the Department because it <br />determines information that may and may not be released by the Department. <br />Action Taken: James Hoeft. Centerville City Attornev will review the document <br />and make written recommendations to the Commission with a suaaested <br />deadline of the November Commission meetina. <br /> <br />E. October Commission Meeting: Chair Varian will be absent for the meeting and <br />Vice Chair Pitchford will preside. <br /> <br />/~, <br />
