<br />The City will evaluate the performance of its management and supervisory <br />personnel on the basis of their involvement in achieving these Affirmative Action <br />objectives as well as other established criteria. <br /> <br />Any employee of this organization who does not comply with the policies and <br />procedures set forth in this policy and plan will be subject to disciplinary action. <br /> <br />Any subcontractor not complying with all applicable Equal Employment <br />Opportunity/Affirmative Action laws, directives and regulations of the federal and <br />state governing bodies or agencies thereof, will be subject to appropriate legal <br />sanctions. <br /> <br />The City Administrator will have the authority and responsibility to enforce this <br />policy and plan and is the designated Affirmative Action Coordinator. The City <br />Administrator responsibilities will include monitoring all Affirmative Action <br />activities and reporting the effectiveness of this Program, as required by federal <br />or state agencies. <br /> <br />If any employee or applicant for employment believes he or she has been <br />discriminated against, the City encourages them to contact the Affirmative Action <br />Coordinator. <br /> <br />22.2 Plan <br /> <br />The City of Centerville takes the following steps to ensure all employment <br />practices are free of discrimination: <br />1. Adoption of this Affirmative Action Plan. <br />2. Distribute this policy and plan to all City employees. <br />3. Make a good faith effort to attract qualified protected class <br />applicants to fill vacancies due to staff expansion or <br />turnover. <br />4. Use an objective job-related hiring process when filling <br />positions. <br />5. Prepare and adopt written job descriptions and update <br />them periodically. <br />6. Advertise job openings in locations and publications which <br />attempt to reach members of the protected classes. <br />7. Provide information to employees and applicants as to their <br />rights under the provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 <br />as amended, the Minnesota Human Rights Act, and other <br />state and federal laws as applicable. <br />8. Receive and investigate complaints of alleged acts of <br />discrimination by the City of Centerville. <br /> <br />32 <br />
