<br />Floating Holiday: Each Employee gets one floating holiday per year and it may be <br />taken at the request of the Employee, with prior approval of the Employee's <br />supervisor. Floating holiday may be taken during thep!Obationary period. An <br />unused floating holiday shall be forfeited and may not be carried over to the next <br />paytoll year nor paid as severance. <br /> <br />7.3 Holiday Pay <br /> <br />Worked: An Employee requited to work on a holiday shall be paid at the !ate of two <br />and one-half (2 'Iz) times the Employee's !ate of pay. <br /> <br />Not Worked: An Employee not scheduled to work on holidays will be compensated <br />at the normal houtly !ate. <br /> <br />On Leave: Holidays occutting during an Employee's PTO or funetalleave will be <br />considered a holiday and the Employee's leave baok will not be charged for PTO or <br />funeral on that day. <br /> <br />8. PERSONAL TIME OFF (PTO) - LEAVE WITH PAY <br /> <br />8.1 General <br /> <br />Eligibility: Full-time Employees who have worked for the City for at least six <br />months are eligible to accrue annual Personal Time Off leave (PTO) from the date <br />the Employee is hired. PTO will be available for use as it is accrued according to the <br />schedule below. <br /> <br />8.2 Accrual <br /> <br />Rate of Accrual: Full-time Employees shall earn PTO leave at the following rates. <br /> <br />Years of Service <br />o through 5 years <br />6 through 10 years <br />11 through 15 years <br />16+ years <br /> <br />PTO Earned <br />6.77 houts per pay period <br />8.31 hours per pay period <br />9.85 houts per pay period <br />11.38 hours per pay period <br /> <br />Accrual While Using: Employees using earned PTO shall be considered to be <br />working for the purpose of accumulating additional PTO. <br /> <br />8.3 Requirements <br /> <br />Usage: Personal Time Off (PTO) Leave may be used as earned, subject to app!Oval <br />by the Department Supervisor or City Administrator. PTO may be taken in <br />increments of one hour or more. Up to a maximum of 176 houts of accrued PTO <br />may be carried over to the next year. <br /> <br />17 <br />
