<br />" <br /> <br />City ofCenterville <br />Council Meeting Mmutes <br />June 12. 2002 <br /> <br />( <br />I, <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked :Mr. Drilling to contact :Mr. Engler about the <br />sod. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers commented that there was originally to be a berm on <br />the east side with trees. <br /> <br />:Mr. Drilling indicated he bad put trees in and raised the grade up two or three feet. He <br />also indicated a fence would be installed on the berm. He then indicated he bad also <br />added a small section of fence running north and south that was not called fur in the <br />plans. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson thanked :Mr. Drilling for working so hard at cooperating with <br />:Mr. Engler. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked for an update on the personnel policy. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she was making progress on the personnel policy until her <br />computer crashed on May 23, 2002. She then indicated she had kept a backup on disk <br />and would be able to resume working on it once she bad her new computer. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Comer Express had asked for an extension to June 30, <br />2002 until their permanent sign is installed. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the Trio Inn sign was gone. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Performance Auto has said they are not sure what they <br />will do and are not sure why they have to remove the sign. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked when the City could move it if the business owner did <br />not. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated it could be moved by the end of the week. <br /> <br />2. AT&T Broadband (Mary Capra) <br /> <br />Council Member Capra reported that the Cable Connnission is close to reaching an <br />agreement on the franchise agreement and noted the contract should be voted -on at the <br />June 19,2002 meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated there is money in an account through the Cable <br />Commission to purchase new microphones for Council Chambers. <br /> <br />r <br />\ <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that the Cable Connnission is looking at building or <br />purchasing a building because there will be PEG fees available and it is.a good time to do <br />so. <br /> <br />Page 19 of23 <br />
