March 29, 2001 Communications Ad Hoc Committee Meeting Minutes in regards to providing an incentive for completing the survey such as return postage, utilities discount, drawing for City merchandise, phone survey, etc. Lengthy discussion was had regarding the distribution of same and response to previous surveys completed. A suggestion was made in regards to purchasing a book titled Effective Communications a Local Government Guide in the amount of$36. A suggestion was made to have a booth at the Fete des Lacs City Celebration. Consensus was to complete all surveys by early May. Discussion was had in regards to placing the City Administrator's Week In Review (WIR) on the Cable Channel, posting on the web site and e-mailing same to residents that request it. Lengthy discussion took place in regards to questions placed on the resident, Staff7Mayor/Council, and business surveys. Chair Brenner stated that she would complete the Stafii'Mayor/Council and committee/commission survey, Committee Member Fairbrother stated that he would be completing the resident and business survey, Committee Member Abrahamson stated that he would do the introduction section for the survey and Committee Member Witzell would complete the layout. Committee Member Bode stated that he would organize the drop off locations and prizes. The Committee decided on e-mailing draft versions of the survey to each member for review. Consensus was that the Committee would meet on April 16, 2001 at City Hall. Chair Brenner questioned a regular schedule and the need to keep in mind the Open Meeting Law. Chair Brenner stated that she would research this item. IV. SET AGENDA 1. Review Surveys 2. Assign Areas of Focus (Newsletter, Cable Channel, Web Site and Other) 3. Immediate Recommendations V.
