Whether this
organization is the Lions Club, Little League, Soccer Club, Parks and Recreation
Committee or himself, it would be a great source of income. He also explained that it
would establish a reputation of offering concessions at the park. He suggested that
whatever organization elects to offur concessions, could donate some of the proceeds to
the Parks and Recreation Committee. Once the actual concession shelter is built, it could
be taken over the Parks and Recreation Committee, or whomever elects to run the
concessions.

Ms. DeVine questioned of the Lions Club has come to any conclusions related to funding
for the concession shelter.

Mr. Bisek explained there are many avenues for generating funds for the concession
shelter. The Spring Lake Park Lions Charitable Gambling is a very aggressive
organization that is donating proceeds to Centerville for these type of things. Other ways,
such as: fundraisers, coupons, DNR Grant or possibly a loan from the City (paid back
with proceeds from the concessions) are always a possibility. Additionally, the Wheels
Park will also playa factor in the concession shelter.

Mr. Bisek questioned if the Committee had any other concerns or questions that he might
be able to help with. The Committee had no further questions and thanked Mr. Bisek for
his time and for attending the meeting.

CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES

May 2.2001 Parks and Recreation Meeting Minutes

Motion by Mr. Peterson, seconded by Mr. Walter to approve the May 2, 2001 Parks
and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes with noted changes.
