<br />Motion by Ms. Peil, seconded by Mr. Porter to recommend to City Council approval <br />of Mr. Bisek's request anowing him to seU concessions at Laurie LaMotte Park <br />(excluding the Fete des Lacs weekend) temporarily, through the year 2001. Mr. <br />Bisek wiD be responsible for pulling all necessary permits and absorbing all costs <br />incurred, including sales tax. AU in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation Committee is not looking for a specific portion of the profits <br />from Mr. Bisek, but rather, a monetary donation would be greatly appreciated. <br /> <br />Ms. Lien will notifY Mr. Bisek of the results ofhis request. <br /> <br />Building Plans for a Concession Stand in No. St. Paul <br />Mr. Peterson explained he had received the blueprints from the City of No. St. Paul for a <br />concession stand at one of their parks. He also received blueprints from the City of <br />Vadnais Heights for one of their parks. <br /> <br />At this time, the Parks and Recreation Committee elected to table this item until further <br />notice, until additional information is obtained (DNR Grant). <br /> <br />Wheels Park <br />Mr. Peterson explained that Mr. Palzer had given him a list of "add-ons" for the electrical <br />at Laurie LaMotte Park (i.e.: scoreboard, light poles, grounding of poles, etc.). The <br />amount of the add-ons is $8300 in addition to the original bid. After discnssion the <br />following motion was made: <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Peterson, seconded by Mr. Walter to recommend to City Council <br />approval of the add-on's; to include fencing and ground work around the electrical <br />box, and the relocation and wiring of the scoreboard at Laurie LaMotte Park. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ms. Lien explained she had included a copy of an invitation she had sent to all who had <br />attended the Informational Meeting held back in October of20oo, inviting them to the <br />upcoming Wheels Park Meeting. She also included a copy of the flyer distnlmted at the <br />local convenience stores for promotion of the same meeting. Ms. Lien mentioned she <br />had spoke with Tom Peterson (City Engineer) regarding the status of the concrete and <br />electrical at LaMotte Park. According to Mr. Peterson, the concrete should be complete <br />by the end of June, and the electrical by the end of July. Technically, the Wheels Park <br />could be up and running by the mid to end of July, but with the Fete des Lacs <br />Celebration, the equipment cannot be installed until after August 5th. <br /> <br />1IIs. Lien mentioned Ellen Nigon of the White Bear Press had contacted her. Ms. Nigon <br />was looking for information regarding the Wheels Park (i.e.: dates, funding, staffing, <br />fees, etc.).
