<br />beverages or illicit drugs. A customer may not be tattooed, pierced, branded or <br />painted while under the influence of alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs. <br /> <br />12. Written Instructions. The operator must provide the person tattooed, pierced or <br />branded with printed instruction on the approved care of the skin during the <br />healing process. <br /> <br />13. Living Quarters. A place licensed as a tattoo, body piercing, body branding or <br />body painting establishment may not be used or occupied as living or sleeping <br />quarters. <br /> <br />14. Hepatitis. A person to be tattooed, branded or pierced must be asked whether the <br />person bas had viral hepatitis in the preceding six (6) months. A person suspected <br />of presently having viral hepatitis or having had viral hepatitis within the <br />preceding six (6) months may not be tattooed, branded or pierced unless the <br />person has the written consent of a licensed physician. <br /> <br />SANCTIONS FOR LICENSE VIOLATIONS <br /> <br />1. The City Council may revoke the license or suspend the license for a violation of: <br /> <br />A. A provision of this Article or any other local law governing the same <br />activity during the license period; <br /> <br />B. Violation of any criminal law during the license period which adversely <br />affects the ability of the licensee to honestly, safely, or lawfully conduct a <br />tattooing, body piercing, body branding or body painting business; <br /> <br />1. The City Council may revoke the license or suspend the license if the licensee <br />submitted fulse information or omitted material information in the licensing <br />process. <br /> <br />Effective Date <br /> <br />The effective date of this Ordinance shall be after its passage and publication according <br />to law. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Centervi11e City Council this <br /> <br />, day of <br /> <br />,2002. <br /> <br />Mayor Tim Swedberg <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />Page 7 of 7 <br />
