<br />NOT APPROVED <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 1, 1998 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />Centerville held its regularly scheduled meeting at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chairwoman Kathy Welk <br />Commission Members: <br />AI LaMotte <br />Linda Broussard-Vickers <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Commission member John Buckbee <br /> <br />STAFF/CONSULTANTS: Jim March, City Administrator <br />Ry-Chel Gaustad, City Clerk <br />Tom Peterson, Consulting Engineer <br />****************************************************************************** <br /> <br />OPENING <br /> <br />RollCall <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING (S) <br /> <br />Preliminary Plat Consideration for Mound Trail (Carl Buechler) <br />Mr. Carl Buechler was present to discuss the proposed Buechler Estates preliminary plat and to <br />request the Commissions approval. He also planned to independently finance the utilities and to <br />pay park funds in place of park dedicated property. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson noted the city plans to install utilities along the southeast property boundaries and he <br />suggested the developer provide a 20-foot wide utility easement along the sanitary sewer, east of <br />the plat. A 20-foot easement should be provided for the entire length of the easement, not a 10- <br />foot easement. The easement will allow the city to maintenance and repair the lines. He also <br />commented a tree may need to be removed to install the proposed utilities. <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Holiday (1295 Mound Trail) noted the willow tree is located on his property and felt no <br />concern to remove the tree. <br /> <br />Ms. Cathy Holiday (1295 Mound Trail) voiced concern pertaining to the developer ensuring the <br /> <br />1 <br />
