MOT ApPpOVED <br /> CENTERVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> COMMITTEE DESIGN TEAM UPDATE <br /> SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br /> MARCH 25, 1999 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville Economic Development <br /> Committee held a special meeting on March 25, 1999 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> Present: Council Member Theresa Brenner <br /> EDC Chairperson Tim Rehbine <br /> EDC Committee Member Mary Capra <br /> Staff: Jim March, City Administrator <br /> Aimee Fairbrother, Secretary <br /> Design Team: Penny Simonson <br /> Lucy Thompson <br /> Residents: Monica Travis, Tim Swedberg, and Wayne LeBlanc <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairperson Rehbine called the March 25, 1999 special meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. <br /> PARKS, TRAILS AND LAKES TASKS <br /> Update presented by Wayne LeBlanc <br /> Wayne LeBlanc explained a group has formed that is primarily concentrating on <br /> Centerville's parks, trails and lakes. Mr. LeBlanc has minutes available from several of the <br /> groups meetings, and gives a lot of credit to the Minnesota Design Team for getting things <br /> started and for getting everybody focused in one direction. The group has put together a <br /> list of priorities, and Mr. LeBlanc stated that many of these priorities are currently being <br /> worked on with the help of City Administrator Jim March. <br /> In addition to these priorities, the Parks, Trails, and Lakes group has developed a set of <br /> plans that they will be submitting to the Park and Recreation Committee for approval. <br /> Once the Park and Recreation Committee approve the prioritized plans, the group would <br /> like them brought before City Council. This approval would provide direction and <br /> assurance that these plans go forward with the backing of the City. <br /> Mr. LeBlanc continued by reviewing the prioritized lists. The 1st goal would be to <br /> connect the Anoka County Park Trail System, to LaMotte Park. The next thing would be <br />
