Mr. Barott owns a small
cottage and a six -plex apartment building. The asking price is $300,000 for both
properties. If Council is interested in discussing this issue, please let me know. I feel that
the price is high for the condition of the property.
* We have had some citizen complaints in regards to an ACCAP home in the Royal
Meadows subdivision. Some citizens are interested in appearing before Council to deliver
a petition in regards to the problems they have had with the current tenants. A meeting has
been scheduled for next Monday at 2:30 with some residents and the property manager
from ACCAP. If anyone from Council is interested in attending, please let me know.
* I attended the Fete des Lacs revitalization meeting last night. There is a great group of
volunteers working with the Lion's to make next year's celebration a memorable event.
* Rick Carlson stopped in City Hall on Wednesday to discuss his plans for the former
Prachar property. Mr. Carlson has purchased approximately 23 acres of land south of
LaMotte Park. Mr. Carlson would like to develop the property next year, one year prior to
what is called for by the comprehensive plan. This would require a comprehensive plan
amendment and approval by the City Council. I indicated to Mr. Carlson that I did not think
the Council would be interested in such an idea, unless the City would have some type of
benefit from approving such a suggestion. One idea I mentioned was a significant
contribution towards playground equipment for LaMotte Park besides the required park
10/1/99
