Park and Recreations recommendation to appoint Ms. Karla DeVine to the Park <br /> and Recreation Committee board. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> Set Truth In Taxation Dates <br /> Motion by Mayor Wilharber, seconded by Council member Broussard Vickers to <br /> set the initial Truth in Taxation hearing date for December $th and the continuation <br /> meeting, if necessary, for December 20t. All in favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Motion by Mayor Wilharber, seconded by Council member Sweeney to move the <br /> City Council meeting scheduled for December 22a 1999 to December 20'", 1999. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Set 2000 Budget Preliminary Levv <br /> Motion by Council member Sweeney, seconded by Council member Travis to set the <br /> Preliminary Levy at $985,000 and to accept Resolution 99 -12. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Park and Recreation Enterprise account with $50k Budget Amount <br /> Mr. March explained the Park and Recreation Committee request for an Enterprise <br /> Account and request for a $50,000 budget. <br /> Council member Sweeney mentioned that the Park and Recreation Committee wants to fix <br /> up the parks in Centerville. Some of the parks need repairs to swings, addition of slides, <br /> picnic tables and benches. The turf in all of the parks needs to be fertilized and <br /> maintained better than in the past. <br /> Motion by Council member Sweeney, seconded by Council member Nelson to <br /> acknowledge receipt of the recommendation of the Park and Recreation Committee <br /> to set up an Enterprise Account with a $50,000 Budget. Council will consider the <br /> recommendation at a future meeting. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Schweitzer request for 73` Street temporary closure <br /> Mayor Wilharber requested written notification to adjoining neighbors. <br /> -Council member Nelson added the notice should be delivered to those living west of <br /> Peterson Trail, on Prairie Drive, on Mill Road, on Quebec and on Revoir Streets. <br /> Mayor Wilharber asked whether or not the Council should grant noise or other permits <br /> after 10:00 p.m. Council member Travis stated he would not like to approve something as <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br />
