Kornovich then <br /> 120 went over the tax credit program and example which is attached to <br /> 121 the minutes. <br /> 122 <br /> 123 Kornovich stated that tax credit didn't start until 1986 so there <br /> 124 is no projects 10 years old to check maintenance level maintained. <br /> 125 He showed pictures of other projects and explained the value of <br /> 126 house around the projects some exceeding $200,000.00. Kornovich <br /> 127 also looked into the 1990 Centerville census and concluded that 25% <br /> 128 of the town would qualify to live in the project. He also made <br /> 129 comment that Oakdale and Woodbury have called him for ground - <br /> 30 breaking to start projects in their cities. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Gordon Rehbein stated that the assessments are outrageous for the <br /> 33 water and sewer that were run there for the project. He also added <br /> 134 that he lives in Blaine and has rental townhomes by him and has no <br /> 135 problems with them. <br /> 136 <br /> 137 Jan Susee, President of Metes and Bounds Management Company, said <br /> 138 that they run credit and background checks on all individuals which <br /> 139 helps control the situation before it starts. <br /> 140 <br /> 141 Kornovich stated Duffy Engineering would be the engineers for the <br /> 142 project and have looked at the flood plain and items would not <br /> 143 change from feasibility study. <br /> 144 <br /> 145 LaMotte asked Kornovich about changing it to senior housing. <br /> 146 Kornovich replied that out of 2000 there is only 104 units that are <br /> 147 senior housing and that the tax credit isn't as high. There is a <br /> 148 two year waiting list to make it strictly senior housing. <br /> 149 <br /> 150 LaMotte and Tourville addressed the square footage of the single <br /> 151 units. They are at 650 square feet and need to be 800 square feet. <br /> 152 Kornovich said that with the new proposed plan the extra square <br /> 153 footage should be made up with the double car garage. <br /> 54 <br /> 55 Vermeulen asked if the funds were approved yet. Kornovich replied <br /> 56 no that at the end of May they should know and disbursed at the end <br />
