Absent: Drilling, LaMotte_ <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to approve the May 4, 1993 <br /> meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Welk, second by Vermeulen to table the April 13, 1993 <br /> meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for Variance - Went, third of Dots 7. St and aRlQck2 <br /> Centerville, subject.._tn easement of record. <br /> Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to recommend to the City <br /> Council approval of the request for variance from Ordinance #4, <br /> SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS MINIMUM AREA OF STRUCTURES to <br /> allow a single family home to be relocated into the R2 Single <br /> Family Residential Zoning District that is less than 1,050 square <br /> foot minimum ground floor area requirement. The proposed <br /> structure to be relocated is 768 square feet of minimum ground <br /> floor area. The property is legally described as follows: the <br /> West third of Lots 7, 8 and 9 Block 2 Centerville, subject to <br /> easement of record, based on the following standards: <br /> - special conditions and circumstances exist which are <br /> peculiar to the land, the lot size is 50 x 150 feet, <br /> the lot is small, long and narrow and does not result <br /> from the actions of the petitioner; <br /> - literal interpretation of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance would deprive the petitioner of rights <br /> commonly enjoyed by other properties in the same <br /> district under the terms of this ordinance since there <br /> are other fifty foot lots located within the R2 Zoning <br /> District that have structures that are less than the <br /> 1050 square foot of living space requirement; <br /> that by granting this variance requested will not <br /> confer on the applicant any special privilege that is <br /> denied by this ordinance to other lands, structures, or <br /> buildings in the same district; <br /> - the proposed variance will not impair an adequate <br /> supply of light and air to adjacent property or <br /> unreasonably diminish or impair established property <br /> values within the surround area, or in any other <br /> respect impair the public health, safety or welfare of <br /> the residents of the city; <br /> - sanitary sewer is installed and available to service <br /> this lot; <br />
