P &Z MEETING MINUTES <br /> SEPTEMBER 8, 1992 <br /> PAGE FIVE <br /> north boundary is not consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Mr. Haberman noted the City Council, Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission, Park and Recreation Committee and the Centerville <br /> Economic Development Task Force worked very hard on the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Haberman expressed the City should not <br /> deviate from the Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Haberman also expressed <br /> concern about the drainage. <br /> Chairperson Tourville noted it is assumed the Engineer will <br /> design a drainage plan to have the water drain properly. <br /> Mr. Haberman noted the drainage easements are shown on the <br /> Preliminary Plat. Mr. Haberman questioned if the City has a <br /> drainage easement requirement that states property owners can not <br /> build within the easement area. <br /> Chairperson Tourville noted the Final Plat will show all <br /> necessary easements. Chairperson Tourville requested City Staff <br /> check to see if the City has a policy regarding restrictions <br /> regarding construction within an easement area. <br /> Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to adjourn the public <br /> hearing, motion carried unanimously. Hearing adjourned 8:45 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Tuesday, September 8, 1992 at the City Hall. Chairperson <br /> Tourville called the meeting to order at 8:49 p.m. Present: <br /> Drilling, LaMotte, Vermeulen, Welk. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Motion by Welk, second by LaMotte to approve the August 11, 1992 <br /> meeting minutes, AYE - Drilling; AYE - LaMotte; AYE - <br /> Tourville; AYE - Welk; ABSTAIN - Vermeulen, motion carried. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Acorn Creek Development - Gerald Rehbein - Request for Rezoning - <br /> Acorn Creek Development <br /> Chairperson Tourville noted there did not appear to be any <br /> arguments against the development expressed at the public <br /> hearing. The main concern expressed was how the development <br /> would be completed. <br /> Commission member LaMotte expressed, in his opinion, the proposed <br /> zoning meets the intent of the Comprehensive Plan. Commission <br /> member LaMotte noted he liked the proposed phasing in of the <br /> larger lots. <br />
