F&Z Meeting Minutes September 5, 1991 page two Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Thursday, September 5, 1991 at the City Hall. Chairperson Tourville called the meeting to order at 7:26 p.m. Present: Welk, Vermeulen, Drilling, LaMotte, City Council Liaison Burgstahler. Chairperson Tourville welcomed newly appointed Planning and Zoning Commission member LaMotte and thanked him for his interest. Motion by Vermeulen, second by Drilling to approve the August 6, 1991 meeting minutes; Aye - Vermeulen; Aye - Drilling; Aye - Welk; Aye - Tourville; Abstain - LaMotte, motion carried. Motion by Tourville, second by Vermeulen to table the August 27, 1991 special meeting minutes; Aye - Vermeulen; Aye - Drilling; Aye - Welk; Aye - Tourville; Abstain - LaMotte, motion carried. OLD BUSINESS Possibility of amending Ordinance #4. Article 2. - Article 2,- ZONTNG DTSTRTCTS AND DISTRTCT REGUJ1ATTOJS, Section 24. SCHEDULE OF RFGULATTONS. • Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to recommend to the City Council to approve an amendment to Ordinance #4, Article 2, • Section 24 (7) as follows: Now Reads: (7) All future new dwellings in R -1, R -2A, R -2, R -3, R -4, Single Family Residential Districts shall have an • • attached double garage of a minimum of 440 'square' feet. Amend to Read: (7) All future new dwellings in R -2A, R -4, Single Family Residential Districts shall have an attached double garage of a minimum of 440 'square' feet. (7a) All future new dwellings in R -1, R -2, R -3, Single Family Residential Districts shall have a double garage of a minimum of 440 'square' feet. Aye - Vermeulen; Aye - Welk; Aye - Drilling; Aye - LaMotte; Nay - Tourville, motion carried. Chairperson Tourville noted that the reason he voted against the above amendment is that he prefers to not to have garages required in the R -1 Rural Residential and R -3 Future Expansion Zoning Districts.
