NEW BUSINESS Review Ordinance 04 with Regard to the 5,000 Square Foot Building Minimum.‘ 1. - o' -• ' t (- .... H.. .,'f- I. The Centerville Economic Development Task Force requested that the Planing and Zoning Commission discuss minimum square foot building sine and uses permitter, in the Industrial Zoning District. Chairperson Tourville noted that Comfort Pius Heating and Cooling is not in conformance with the minimum square foot building sine. Chairperson Tourviiie also noted that there was a proposed auto repair shop with a minimum of 1,200 square feet. Chairperson f'oixl "V 111:. expressed that the FLrannlI]g and Zoning Commission requires more input from the Task Force as to what they Wan - L. 1 }1e Task Force needs tO make a specific recommendation. Commission member Welk questioned that the City may be asking for too large of- a building in the Industrial Zoning District She suggested that the City of Blaine be contacted as to what their requirements are for their iridu'strial Park west of interstate 35W and south of 85th. Chairperson Tourvilie suggested requesting a copy of the uses permitted in industrial Zoning Districts from other cities. Chairperson Tourville also expressed that in his opinion the tax base from industrial development within the City of Centerville may not be enough to pay back the cost of the extension of utilities to the Industrial Park. Motion by Tourville, second by Vermeulen to table further discussion until more specific direction from the Centerville Economic Development Task Force is given; - and to direct City Staff to research what other cities have for minimum size requirements and uses permitted in Industrial and Commercial Zoning Districts, motion carried unanimously.
