H.. .,'f- I. <br /> The Centerville Economic Development Task Force requested that <br /> the Planing and Zoning Commission discuss minimum square foot <br /> building sine and uses permitter, in the Industrial Zoning <br /> District. <br /> Chairperson Tourville noted that Comfort Pius Heating and Cooling <br /> is not in conformance with the minimum square foot building sine. <br /> Chairperson Tourviiie also noted that there was a proposed auto <br /> repair shop with a minimum of 1,200 square feet. <br /> Chairperson f'oixl "V 111:. expressed that the FLrannlI]g and Zoning <br /> Commission requires more input from the Task Force as to what <br /> they Wan - L. 1 }1e Task Force needs tO make a specific <br /> recommendation. <br /> Commission member Welk questioned that the City may be asking for <br /> too large of- a building in the Industrial Zoning District She <br /> suggested that the City of Blaine be contacted as to what their <br /> requirements are for their iridu'strial Park west of interstate 35W <br /> and south of 85th. <br /> Chairperson Tourvilie suggested requesting a copy of the uses <br /> permitted in industrial Zoning Districts from other cities. <br /> Chairperson Tourville also expressed that in his opinion the tax <br /> base from industrial development within the City of Centerville <br /> may not be enough to pay back the cost of the extension of <br /> utilities to the Industrial Park. <br /> Motion by Tourville, second by Vermeulen to table further <br /> discussion until more specific direction from the Centerville <br /> Economic Development Task Force is given; <br /> - and to direct City Staff to research what other cities <br /> have for minimum size requirements and uses permitted <br /> in Industrial and Commercial Zoning Districts, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br />
