Page Four
P &Z Meeting Minutes
December 5, 1989
OLD BUSINESS:
Chairman Tourville summarized the City Council's request for
suggestions on rezoning of properties. Tamara Miltz - Miller,
Clerk /Administrator was present.
Mayor George Haberman was in the audience and expressed that the
general intent was to move ahead with rezoning of some
properties. It would also appear to be less costly and time
consuming to hold public hearing for rezoning on more than one
property at the same time.
Bob Burgstahler, City Council member was also present and
expressed that Comprehensive Plan Committee had tried to look for
conflicts within the Comprehensive Plan. Some of the present
zoning conflicts with the Comprehensive Plan and there are
problems with the developers and zoning.
Chairman Tourville summarized the locations of each of the
properties that the City has suggested for possible rezoning.
Clerk /Administrator stated that they were not here to rezone
these properties at this time but only to decide if they should
hold public hearings on the rezoning suggestions.
Commission members discussed what properties they would like to
hold public hearings on, and as to what priority they should be
rezoned.
Motion by Drilling, second by Welk to hold Public Hearings at the
next meeting on the properties described as follows:
1) The North 10 acres of the W 1/2 of the NE quarter of the
NE quarter, Section 23, Township 31, Range 22, Anoka
County, Minnesota;
2) The South half of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4; of Section
24 31 22 except the part described as follows:
Commencing at NW corner of said 1/4, 1/4, then South on
West line thereof 766 ft to point of beginning, then
East and parallel with North line of said 1/4,1/4, 260
ft, then South and parallel with said West line 167.54
ft, then West and parallel with said North line 260 ft•
to said West line, then North on said West line to
point of beginning; except roads, subject to easement
of Rec.
and commonly known as NE of the intersection of 20th - Avenue and
Main Street.
motion carried unanimously.
