! <br /> P & & Z Meeting Minutes <br /> Page 2 <br /> August 2, 1988 <br /> Tuesday, August 2, 1988. Chairman Tourville called the meeting <br /> to order at 7:29 p.m. Present: Vermeulen, Lindgren, Drilling <br /> and Council liaison, Wilharber. Absent: Welk. <br /> Motion by Lindgren, second by Drilling to approve the minutes of <br /> the July 5, 1988 meeting. Member Vermeulen stated that she did <br /> not get a copy in her packet. Assistant. Clerk gave her a copy to <br /> read. After reading it, Vermeulen voted for approval. Chairman <br /> Tourville abstained, because he was not present at the July 5 <br /> meeting. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of recommended amendment to Ordinance #4 to increase <br /> the minumum lot size in the R -2A district. Member Drilling <br /> stated that he feels we should increase it to 11,500 with 80 foot <br /> frontages He <br /> � °_. further stated that we hired a planner and the <br /> planner recommends it. Lindgren agreed, as did Vermeulen. <br /> Tourville stated that this would require 145 foot minimum depth. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Lindgren to recommend the City <br /> Council amend Ordinance #4, TABLE B, SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT <br /> REGULATION'S, LOT AND Y'a REQUIREMENTS., to increase the minimum <br /> lot requirements ments for the R -2A District from 10,000 square feet to <br /> 11,500 square feet with a minimum frontage of 50 feet, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Discussion of second public hearing. Lisa DeBilzan, 1965 South <br /> Robin Lane, was present as one of the parties planning to open a <br /> Liquor Store /Video Shop in the proposed Centerville Plaza. Lisa <br /> stated that they have no concerns about the need for a Special <br /> Use Ferm i I: , as they plan to run a clean business. <br /> Motion by Lindgren, second by Drilling to retaomweiid that the. City <br /> Council amend Ordinance #4, TABLE A, to add Liquor Stores to the <br /> list of USES PERMITTED ON SPECIAL CISE PERMIT, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Discussion of Rehbein sketch plan for the development north of <br /> Main Street, east of Shad Avenue and west of Royal Meadows. <br /> Chairman Tourville asked Jerry Rehbein for comments. Mr. Rehbein <br /> stated he has owned the property for about twelve years. He <br /> would like to start with the old requirement for 10,000 square <br /> foot lots, and gradually increase to the new requirement for <br /> 11,500 square feet and over. He called it. averaging. <br /> Tourville asked the City Engineers, John Stewart and Brian Miller <br /> for comments. They recommend rezoning the south ten acres now <br />
