PARK AND RECREATION MEETING MINUTES
MARCH 1, 1995
PAGE 3
Financial Report
P &R expressed frustration over the information supplied for
financial update. P &R expressed their disappointment over the
lack of information.
P &R registers the following complaint: There appears to be poor
preparation for P &R meetings by city staff. Therefore, P &R
requests that City Administrator, Roger Winberg be present to the
April meeting to discuss proper procedure for communication and
facilitating P &R activities.
Comp Park Pedestrian System
No minutes in packets from City Council for P &R to consider.
Pelton informed P &R that the Council approved the Comp Park
Pedestrian System Plan.
Ped. System Plan, Lino Lakes Discussion
Pelton requested that the P &R read the entire plan and be
prepared to talk about it with Marty Aselson of Lino Lakes. P &R
will discuss this at the April meeting.
Baseball Fields Schedule, Concessions, and Acorn Creek Park
Easement were discussed under appearances.
Rink Final Report
Rich and Mike will try to work with Public Works to get ice back
in shape for kids to skate on spring vacation. However, the
warming house will remain closed and no lights at night either.
Pelton wanted to document her appreciation to Mike and Rich for
their excellent work this year at the rink.
Rich wanted to thank City Administrator and Council for their
letter of appreciation.
Recommendations for the new members
P &R would like to know if there was an ad for replacements.
Pelton reported that Bill Bisek has expressed interest in joining
P &R committee. Since no written letter of interest was received,
P &R committee will request City Hall to send a letter to Bill
Bisek ascertaining his interest in serving with P &R committee.
This action appears to be warranted based on Bisek's earlier
intentions to join P &R.
