Carol listed the following list of objectives of the Parks <br /> and Pedestrian System Comprehensive Plan: <br /> 1. Identify the current and future needs via input from <br /> citizens, the Park and Recreation Committee, other City <br /> Committees and Commissions and the City Council through <br /> past data and future public hearings. <br /> 2. Develop, record and officially adopt a park and <br /> pedestrian system comprehensive plan that reflects the <br /> current and future needs of the City of Centerville. <br /> 3. Identify existing and potential future City properties, <br /> as well as other public properties that may be <br /> integrated into the plan. <br /> 4. Identify existing City ordinances, policies and <br /> procedures that pertain to park and pedestrian system <br /> planning, development and management. <br /> 5. Summarize recreation planning guidelines and standards, <br /> a survey of leisure in the Twin Cities, and other <br /> resources as that pertain to park and pedestrian system <br /> development and management in Centerville. <br /> 6. Identify funding sources and time frames for <br /> development and management of park and pedestrian <br /> system facilities, including potential cooperative <br /> projects. <br /> 7. Provide a document that will serve as the official <br /> policy on the Centerville park and pedestrian system <br /> for reference by the City Council, committee and <br /> commissions, staff, consultants, citizens and <br /> developers. <br /> Carol further stated that the committee needs to follow the <br /> attached list of tasks and assignments (Appendix A) and provide <br /> immediate feedback to committees and to the School District. <br /> Carol then listed the current amenities of the City as <br /> indicated on a map on which she had highlighted both City owned <br /> property and properties owned by the School District, Anoka <br /> County and St. Paul waterworks. <br /> The following properties were listed: <br /> CITY OWNED PROPERTY: <br /> 1.
