M E M O R A N D U M TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: Ray Siebenaler SUBJECT: Purchase of Lot 7 Block 2 - L'Allier Estates 7167 Grange -View DATE: April 8, 1993 As I indicated in my March 22, 1993 memorandum to the City Council, the purchase agreement for Lot 7 Block 2 L "Allier Estates will expire on April 15, 1993. Mr. Fagan, realtor for the seller, indicates that he is prepared to sell the lot on April 16, 1993 to another buyer. The purchase of the lot was discussed at the Park and Pedestrian System Comprehensive Plan meeting on Wednesday, March 31, 1993. A draft copy of the meeting minutes is attached for your review. Please note that the Committee is recommending the purchase of the lot to provide the option of a trailway in the future, if a preferred surface route can not be obtained. The Committee indicated that a preferred surface route would be the Mill Road sidewalk and an improved sidewalk on Main Street. The Committee further indicated that the purchase would also provide access for a water easement across the creek for future development. The Park and Recreation Committee, at its April 7, 1993 joint meeting with the City Council, expressed a desire to know how the City would be paying for the purchase of the lot. City Council direction is requested.
