Mr. Peterson thanked the Committee for their consideration. <br /> Mr. Navin thanked Mr. Peterson again for his interest in the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee vacancy. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Individual 2000 Goals <br /> Mr. Navin informed the Committee that Mr. Brown had given him his letter of <br /> resignation along with his "lighting" goals. <br /> Lighting <br /> Mr. Brown received a quote from NSP for Outdoor Lighting. Mr. Brown recommended <br /> a Standard Night Watch Lighting system, which consists of a 250 Watt Directional Light. <br /> The quote is as follows: <br /> $14.10 — image <br /> 3.70 —pole <br /> 7.00 — (not specified) <br /> $24.80 — per month <br /> Mr. Brown also gave the Committee a brochure and contact names from NSP. <br /> Ms. DeVine felt it would be important to coordinate the lighting with EDC to keep the <br /> downtown revitalization theme in mind. <br /> Ms. Lien offered to contact John Hygrell of NSP to gather information to present at the <br /> March 21' City Theme Workshop meeting. Mr. LeBlanc offered to help Ms. Lien with <br /> this task if needed. <br /> Included in Mr. Brown's resignation letter are his comments and suggestions related to <br /> the Ice Skating Rinks. His only request of the Park and Recreation Committee is that the <br /> Committee "fill his position with a person who has a deep desire to make this community <br /> a better place to live, has vision and is prudent with tax payer dollars." <br /> Benches/Tables/Trash Receptacles (all parks, <br /> Mr. Porter explained he has been working along with Ms. DeVine in obtaining quotes for <br /> benches/tables/trash receptacles with the quotes she is receiving for the playground <br /> equipment for Royal Meadows Park.
