Mound Trail Overweight Permit <br /> Motion by Council Member Sweeney, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers to <br /> approve the overweight permit of seven tons axle weight, until road restrictions are placed <br /> in the spring. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Firefighter Pay. Fire Chief Salary Adjustment <br /> Motion by Council Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Travis to approve the <br /> increase in salary request of the fire chief by 5 %, firefighter I's by $.50 per hour, firefighter <br /> II's by $1.00 per hour and the EMT by $1.00 per hour. Council Member Sweeney <br /> abstained. Motion carried. <br /> Tri City Police Department <br /> Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Sweeney to <br /> approve the final documentation for the Tri-City Police Department. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried unaimously. <br /> Mayor Wilharber reported one "resident" vacancy remains on the Tri-City Police Commission. <br /> Pay Scale <br /> Council Member Sweeney expressed he did not realize the time commitment involved with being <br /> Council member. Council Member Broussard Vickers stated she does not like the penalty clause <br /> we currently have. <br /> Motion by Council Member Sweeney, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers to <br /> increase the Council Member's pay to $200 and the Mayor's pay to $250, plus an S25 for <br /> any additional Council meetings and workshops. There will be no penalty for members <br /> missing less then three meetings per year, therefore a missed meeting will result in the loss <br /> of that meetings pay. Council Members Nelson, Sweeney, and Broussard Vickers — Aye. <br /> Mayor Wilharber and Council Member Travis — Nay. Motion carried. <br /> Census <br /> Mayor Wilharber questioned the City's involvement with the upcoming census. Mr. March <br /> indicated there is a lot of advertising out right now to let people know how important it is to fill <br /> out the census. Mr. March added the City does not have a big part in completing the census. <br /> Senator Jane Krentz <br /> Mr. Wilharber indicated he received a letter from Senator Jane Krentz notifying the City of <br /> upcoming town meetings that will be held to provide an opportunity to discuss local and <br /> Page 5 of 6 <br />
